Often called the Stairway to Heaven, Aliwagwag Falls in Cateel, Davao de Oro, is one of the widest waterfalls in the Philippines, with over 80 cascading tiers stretching across a wide rock face. Unlike dramatic single-drop waterfalls, Aliwagwag flows gently over staircase-like rock steps creating numerous shallow pools ideal for swimming. The multi-layered formation stretches for over a kilometer along the river.
