The only genuine rodeo event in the Philippines, the Rodeo Masbateno is held every April in Masbate City, showcasing the province's cowboy culture and cattle ranching heritage. Cowboys from all over the country compete in bull riding, lasso throwing, caravan racing, and cattle wrestling. The week-long festival also features a Mardi Gras street dance and trade fair.
